Japan
Hands-down my favorite country, Japan is the place I would most highly recommend you visit. From the people and culture to the food and architecture, you are guaranteed to have an incredible time. It is a very English-friendly country in major cities, with an easily-navigable public transportation system. There is tons of fascinating history, from temples built in the 700s to the impactful site of the atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And while there might be a lot of tourists in some areas, you can easily find plenty of hidden gems around the country.
